Elena’s story
The daughter of an ER nurse, Elena grew up surrounded by numbers that actually meant something — patient outcomes, not abstractions. She hated statistics until a professor reframed it as 'the science of being less wrong,' and now she teaches it with basketball box scores and real public-health data instead of dice and urns. She salsa dances competitively and runs a fantasy league she takes far too seriously.
